Virtual Cancer Genomics Short Course for Undergraduates

About the Virtual Short Course

This free, two-week virtual learning opportunity is intended for undergraduate students interested in exploring the field of cancer genomics and learning the impact of genomics on cancer diagnosis and treatment.

During one-hour live sessions held on Zoom, you will learn from experts in the field about the biology of cancer cells, approaches used to study cancer genomes, clinical and research careers.

Students may opt to interact with peers virtually through course discussion boards and engage more deeply with the content through knowledge checks to earn a Certificate of Completion.

Virtual Short Course Participation

Students who participate in the Short Course must:

  • Be enrolled at a two- or four-year college or university in the United States and have completed at least one year of study
  • Attend live sessions from July 14 – 25, 2025 at 1 p.m. ET

You will also have the option to engage with asynchronous activities such as knowledge checks and discussion boards.

Participants who successfully complete the Short Course, including the asynchronous activities, will receive a Certificate of Completion issued by The Jackson Laboratory.

The total time commitment is approximately 6 – 10 hours.
